Club and the COVID-19 Pandemic

With the 3rd National Lockdown easing on the 29th March the Club is planning a return to shooting on Friday 2nd April. As before the Club will be strictly following the latest version of the ArcheryGB’s Guidelines ‘Return to Archery - Phase 1 Restricted Shooting’ to to minimise the chance of spreading the COVID-19 virus not only withing the Membership but the other uses of the facilities at Cranberry. A set of Guidelines has been created by the Club Committee for members to use to shoot at Cranberry. Please read thoroughly and for everyone safety adhere to. Any suggestions that might improve the Club’s Guidelines please contact John Lewis or any member pf the Committee. Briefly…….. There will be shooting on the Club’s Outdoor Range, but strictly using a Booking System that has been developed and is available here on the Club’s Website on the COVID Webpages. Maximum number of Targets that will be permitted to placed out on the field at any one time will be 8. Targets must be placed at least 5 Metres apart (Centre to Centre). Only 1 Club Member will be a allowed to shoot on a target at any one time unless members are from the same household. 2 Metre Social distancing applies at all times where possible. Where not possible to maintain the 2 Metre Soical Distancing Face Masks and Disposable Gloves are to be used this certainly applies when entering the Containers and when setting out and putting Targets away. When Opening up or Locking the Side Gates and the Main Gate please wear disposbale glove for you own protection and everyone else’s. Please regularly sanitise your hands using you own Hand Sanitiser or the Sanitiser the Club has provided. On your first visit during this Return To Archery - Restricted Shooting please take home with you the Target Face and Pins you use and bring back and use again every time you return to Cranberry to shoot. PLEASE NOTE: The Club Booking System continues to operate whereby Members can request a Target to shoot on at the Club while we wait for ArcheryGB to update their guidelines, hopefully sometime this week.
